Finally, high-speed Internet for all of us. Last February, Elon Musk said he’s going to provide high-speed Internet to the world. Now, Elon Musk says that Starlink has enough satellites to launch a beta version of high-speed Internet service.

On Tuesday, SpaceX launched a batch of 60 Starlink satellites. This new addition is more than 700, and SpaceX CEO Elon Musk believes it is enough to launch a public beta, reports Ars Technica.

As soon as these satellites reach their target position, we will be able to roll out a fairly large public beta in the North of the United States and hopefully Southern Canada, Elon Musk tweeted

We have no information about the dates when these satellites will reach their targeted position but it is highly likely that once the latest batch of 60 satellites gets positioned, the world should expect to get the internet as promised by Elon Musk last year. It’s going to be rolled out in phases, most likely starting with the US first.

SpaceX is strongly committed to making Starlink a reality as well as a commercially sustainable project. Musk thinks that this new venture will have an important revenue stream for the company and plans to IPO Starlink in the coming years if the project is successful.
